Windows cannot connect to printer

Hi everybody

I'm searching for the problem since days in the internet now, but no solution is helping to solve this problem.

Situation:

  • Printer = HP Color Laserjet CM 4540 MFP
  • Clients (all) = Windows 7, 64bit
  • Printer installed successfully on server 1 (Server 2008 R2) and everything works fine
  • Printer installed successfully on server 2 (Server 2008 R2), but when try to connect from Client to printer the error occures

Try Outs (without success) from http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/6c68f4d3-fa4c-4986-9567-bbe89551652f/windows-7-windows-cannot-connect-to-the-printer-0x0000007e?forum=winserverprint):

  • Reinstall Printer (after deleting drivers manually) with same drivers like on server 1
  • Delete Key in registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\PRINTERNAME\CopyFiles\BIDI) isn't possible (don't have this folder on server 1 and 2)
  • Cannot install Hotfix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982728/en-us)
  • Change to different driver(s)
  • Checked the language for non-unicode-programs

Has anyone an idea what i'm doing wrong? Is there something i can try?

Thanks for any help!
