network printer name is case sensitive

hi all,one of our line of business applications requires two instances of the same printer installing. One printer is non duplex and the other is duplex.

for some reason when I add \\Server\printer1 the s in the server name is upper case but when I add \\server\printer1_duplex the s in the server name is lower case.

This causes an issue as the line of business application needs the case to be the same on both printers.

I cannot work out why the case is changing, this does not happen on other computers on the network.

any help would be much appreciated.
